API documentation

Everything you need to integrate with the Gini v2 Third-Party API.

MCP server

Run your store from an AI assistant. The MCP server gives Claude your orders, catalog, discounts, staff, settings and finances as tools, acting as you.

POST https://merchant.gini.iq/mcp/merchant
How it works
  • Each tool does exactly what the same action does on the dashboard, for your store only.
  • Sign in as the owner or as an operator. An operator sees only the tools their role allows — a cashier gets orders, not products or finance.
  • Two ways to connect: a custom connector in claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude mobile (you sign in once with your dashboard login), or your API key and secret as headers (Claude Code and other MCP clients).
Connect from claude.ai or Claude Desktop
1

Add the connector. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, click +, choose Add custom connector, and paste the URL above. Leave the OAuth fields empty.

2

Sign in. Claude opens the Gini merchant login. Sign in as you do on the dashboard — owner or operator.

3

Authorize. Check what Claude will be able to do and that access is returned to claude.ai, then click Authorize.

Notes
  • Access tokens last an hour and Claude refreshes them for up to 30 days; after that you sign in again.
  • Deactivating an operator, or the store, cuts their connector off at once.
Connect with headers
Headers
Field Type Required Description
X-Api-Key string Required Your API key from Settings → Integrations.
X-Api-Secret string Required Your API secret, as-is. Not signed — the MCP server needs no signature.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http gini-store https://merchant.gini.iq/mcp/merchant \
  --header "X-Api-Key: <your API key>" \
  --header "X-Api-Secret: <your API secret>"
Notes
  • Header sign-in acts as the store owner.
  • A client that can only send a bearer token can send Authorization: Bearer <API key>:<API secret> instead.
  • Missing or wrong credentials, or an inactive store → 401. 60 requests per minute.

Notes
  • The create, update and delete tools run the same code as the matching API endpoint, so its fields and rules apply — see that endpoint's page.
  • Images are public https links. The server downloads them; a link to an internal address, a redirect or a non-image is refused.
  • No tool marks an order delivered: the delivery company or the customer's QR scan does.
  • A refused action comes back as a tool error with the dashboard's own message.
